Part of a five-painting series based on a vivid, recurring dreamscape, Crystalline Realm No. 02 (2024) was painted simultaneously with Crystalline Realm No. 01 (2024). The two panels form a diptych but are fully resolved as individual works.

In this piece, the artist continues to explore layered applications of stain and acrylic over wood, allowing the natural grain to influence the jagged silhouettes of distant towers and peaks. Rich reds punctuate the cooler palette of blues and greens, creating dynamic contrasts that echo the surreal quality of the dream. Together or apart, the works offer a window into a landscape shaped by memory, imagination, and material process.
