“Andesine Liths” (2023) was the first of its kind by the artist to feature wood stains as primary medium. This scene represents a distant landscape seen in a dream, a "dreamscape" of unusual rock formations. The work takes its name from the andesine jewel like tonality of the surreal monoliths in their staggered arrangement, peaking high above clouds. Long vertical strokes by palette knife take on silhouettes of eerie spires towering above ruins. In this work, the artist has attempted to capture the dynamic morphing of images one experiences in dreams.
